The things buyers ask most, starting with the one that matters on night one: short ticket numbers and their leading zeros.
My ticket number is short, like “1W”. What’s my real number?
Add leading zeros to make it 4 digits. 1W is ticket 0001, 87W is 0087, 432W is 0432. This only affects the first 999 tickets sold. Ticket 10,000 plays as 0000.

How are winners drawn?
Every night of the raffle year, the Ohio Lottery Evening Pick 4 (drawn around 7:29 PM) decides the winner. The ticket whose 4 digits match the Pick 4 in the order drawn wins that day’s prize. There are no stubs to mail and no drawings to attend. Results will be posted right here every night once the drawings begin on June 1, 2027.
When do sales open and when do drawings start?
Calendars go on sale October 1, 2026 on the Ducks Unlimited portal. Drawings run every night from June 1, 2027 through May 31, 2028. Buy any time before then and your number is in every drawing.
Can I win more than once?
Yes. Your number stays in every drawing for the whole raffle year. Winning one night does not take you out of the next.
How do I get my prize if I win?
Winners are contacted directly using the details from their purchase. Firearm prizes ship from Reeds to a licensed FFL dealer near you, where you complete the standard transfer paperwork and background check. Other prizes ship to you or are arranged for pickup. Prizes are subject to substitution of equal or greater value, as noted on the calendar.
What happens to unsold numbers?
If the Pick 4 matches a number that was never sold, that night is posted as “Unsold” and the prize is awarded or held according to the official raffle rules. Unsold numbers stay in the pool for the rest of the year.
Do I need to live in Ohio?
The raffle is run by Ohio Ducks Unlimited under Ohio charitable gaming rules. Buyers are responsible for following the laws where they live, and firearm prizes can only transfer through a licensed dealer in the winner’s state. If you are not sure, email us before you buy.
Where does the money go?
To wetlands. Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 20 million acres across North America since 1937, and 87 cents of every dollar goes to conservation and education. Proceeds from this raffle support Ohio DU projects and events across the state.
Where do I find my ticket number?
It is emailed to you right after purchase on the DU portal. Can’t find it? Search your inbox for “Ducks Unlimited” or contact us with the name and email you used to buy.
